MICRO-SANCTUARY FOR FARM ANIMALS
We are Robyn & Jenni. Together with our blended family of 5 daughters, we care for approximately 30 animals on our 35 acres of woodland near Anola, MB.
It wasn't our initial plan, to take in rescued and rehomed animals and start a sanctuary - but all signs kept pointing us in this direction. Our friend likes to joke with us that we started with "gateway goats" (we brought 3 goats home July 2020) - and we just naturally grew from there.
We wish places like us didn't have to exist, but the nature of the animal agriculture beast is to discard animals when they don't make anyone money - that's where we, and other sanctuaries, come in and provide the best life possible for as many of these beings as we can.
We are also a landing spot for rehomed animals. Sometimes life changes for owners, and we are here to help take in their fur-babies and care for them as well.
We are a Vegan Sanctuary and have pledged Compassion for All, recognized by P.E.A.C.E. (People Ensuring Animal Care Exists)
We are open to the public, by appointment only, August 1, 2021.
Volunteers also come in for maintenance and chores. If you would like to help around the station, please contact us!
While we are a small operation, the costs add up - quickly! Between hydro costs to heat barns and water in the winter, hay, feed, vet visits, regular health maintenance, property upgrades (for the animals) and providing enrichment for each different breed of animal, we humbly and graciously accept donations.
